YOU CAN KNOW WHO THE LORD’S TRUE CHURCH IS
There are distinctive marks of the Lord’s church that stand out from those that are not His church. One of them is that Jesus is the Head over His church.
In Eph 1:17-23, tells us that Jesus is the head over His church and that He has all power. Those that are faithful members of His church can have wisdom and know what is the exceeding greatness of His power: and know all the wonderful things that the lord will reveal to those that love him.
The one that was rejected became Head over all. Is. 53:3. He was in the world and the world was made by Him. John 1:10-14; Ps 118:22,23; Mt 21:42; Acts 4:10-12.
We also can see in these scriptures that Jesus is our sacrifice, and the only way anyone can to get to heaven is to realize that they are a sinner and repent; and trust in Jesus with all their heart to save their soul. Acts 4:10-12; Mk 1:15; Lu 13:2- 5; Acts 17:30,31. Again the Lord is speaking to His church that we should walk worthy of Him and be fruitful. This is the only way that we will have wisdom and know what His will is; and that is to be, in His church which, is the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Tim 3:15-16; Col 1:9-19.
We see there in Col. 1:9-19 that Jesus is head over His church and that He is to have the Preeminence. If one is to learn the things of God, it can only be in His church. The Lord is a God of order, His commission to His church in Mt 28:18,19,20 was to first teach folks to be saved; Baptize them; than the Lord adds them into His church. Act 2:41-47; 1Co 12:18. They are than taught the all things.
We are to be doers of the word as it says in Ja. 1:25-27; 1 Ti 2:4-6.
Therefore Jesus is Head over His church. Nothing is to be taught that He did not teach; only the all things He commanded in Mt 28:20. The one teaching which is the one faith that is written in Ep. 4:1-5; one Lord and one faith; one baptism.
The Apostles doctrine, which the Lord’s church is to contend for. Jude 1:3; Acts 2:41-42.
Jesus is the only law giver, nothing added, nothing left out. His church does not have any head quarters where instructions come from. His church is not to make new laws or to make amendments. She is only to teach and practice that which He has commanded; The All Things. The Apostles doctrine. Mt 28:18-20;
Acts 2:41-42.
Nothing is to be added to the word or nothing to be left out. Pr 30:5,6;
Rev 22:18,19.
